A few answers to the most common questions about how I work and what to expect.

Why do i have to fill out a questionnaire?
Because it saves us both time. The more I understand your needs, preferences, lifestyle, and space upfront, the better I can tailor my advice to avoid suggesting things that don’t suit you. It keeps the process efficient and focused.

What kind of costs should I expect?
That depends on the service and the scope. My design fee is based on the size of the project and how involved I need to be. On top of that, you'll need to account for any new furniture or accessories, professional painting, and installation costs like lighting or electrical work, if required. I don’t push for purchases unless they truly add value. The goal is smart design, not unnecessary spending.

what’s the difference between style support and room by room category?
Style Support is for smaller challenges - like layout tweaks, finishing touches, or focused advice. It’s fast and straight forward. Room by Room is a design service for individual spaces. A full design package for one space: mood board, layout plan, shopping list, and styling guidance to achieve a cohesive look that builds on what you already own.

how much budget do I need to furnish an entire room?
This always depends on the space, quality level, and how complete you want it to feel - but here’s a solid rule of thumb for mid-range design with a few elevated pieces when you start with zero: Primary Bedroom AED 15,000–40,000 Includes bed, mattress, side tables, lighting, dresser, textiles, and finishing touches like art or mirrors. Kids Room AED 8,000–25,000 Bed, wardrobe, desk or play furniture, soft furnishings, lighting, and fun styling details. Living Room AED 20,000–60,000 Sofa, armchairs, tables, media unit, rug, curtains, lighting, and decorative layers. Dining Room AED 15,000–35,000 Dining table and chairs, lighting, rug, and a few key pieces like a console or art. Home Office AED 8,000–25,000 Desk, chair, shelves or storage, rug, lighting, and styling. A good tip: reserve about 10–15% of your budget for styling and finishing touches. It’s often the small things that make the biggest impact. These ranges are flexible, and we can always tailor the plan to suit your space and priorities.

what is the design process like?
Once we’ve aligned on the service that is fitting your situation, we start with a detailed questionnaire and a discovery call. From there I visit you and your space, take notes and measurements and clarify any open issues. After these first steps are out of the way I will send you mood boards and layout plans. Once you have approved an option, I continue to furniture and style concept, sourcing and selections - all tailored to your space. You get clear deliverables at every step.

Do you take on renovation projects?
Not full-scale renovations. I don’t knock down walls or manage construction sites. I focus on non-invasive design — styling, sourcing, layouts, and smart updates with maximum impact.
